An Interesting Thought!

Well it's been quite a few months since this page was updated. Finally we have had chance to sit down and write a new item for it. So here it is!

One sermon we heard recently had a subject that made us both pause for thought. The verse was Mark 16 v 15, which in our NIV reads as follows : He said to them "go into all the world and preach the Good News to all creation."

This verse applies just as much today as it did in Christ's time. The interesting thought is this. With all today's modern technology, there are very few places that Christianity hasn't reached. Radio, TV, satellite, newspapers, video's as well as the Internet - all are being used to spread the Word. It won't be much longer before every corner of this world has heard the Word. Does this then mean Judgement Day will soon be on us?!

If this is so, are you ready?! I thought I wasn't. Now I know I am. Why did I doubt that I wasn't?! Well, look around. There are so many other Christians so much further along their walk with Christ. I thought because I wasn't as far along as others, that I wouldn't make it. I'm so glad that someone took the time to explain to me that I was wrong, and why I was wrong! Yes, we can give our lives to Christ and then sit back and do nothing, but most of us want to become more Christ-like. I know I can never be as perfect as Christ, but it's not about all the good deeds you've done. If it was, then the thief on the cross next to Christ at Calvery wouldn't have gone to Heaven, because he had no time to do any good deeds. All he did was admit that he had done wrong, and that Christ had done no wrong. If you have truly accepted Christ as Lord and Saviour of your life, then you are saved, and you can be assured of your place in Heaven. Don't be comparing yourself to other Christians, what is important is your own walk with Christ.
